Privacy Policy — IPTV Elegant

Plain-language summary: IPTV Elegant is a media player, not a content provider. In configured production builds, it stores your app setup and viewing activity locally and automatically synchronizes supported data to Google Firebase using an anonymous account. The current app does not offer cloud-sync or analytics opt-outs. We do not sell personal information.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how IPTV Elegant (“IPTV Elegant,” “we,” “us,” or “the app”) processes information when you use the IPTV Elegant Android TV, Google TV or Fire TV application, this website, cloud synchronization and support services.

The app does not provide channels, media catalogs or IPTV subscriptions. Your relationship with any playlist or streaming provider is governed by that provider’s terms and privacy practices.

2. Information we process

Information you provide

Playlist and provider configuration: source names, playlist URLs, server addresses and, for compatible services, usernames and passwords. These values are stored locally and may be synchronized to your private Firebase account.
Profiles: profile names, selected avatars, kid-profile status, optional profile PINs, favorites, recent searches, viewing history and Continue Watching progress. Profile PINs are convenience controls stored and synchronized in plain text; they are not account-security passwords.
Preferences: language, playback settings, television-navigation settings and similar configuration.
Support information: information you include when contacting support or voluntarily submitting an in-app issue report.

Information generated automatically

Anonymous identifiers: a Firebase anonymous user identifier, installation identifier, session identifier and pseudonymous profile alias.
App activity: navigation, searches represented by length ranges rather than raw search text, favorites, playback requests, starts, pauses, resumes, seeks, milestones, completion, closure and errors.
Content context: catalog identifiers, titles, categories, genres, year, rating, quality and episode numbers associated with app activity.
Playback and device context: playback position and duration, player type, startup latency, locale, connectivity class and basic platform mode.
Diagnostics: recent app events, failure codes and device/network context kept locally. Provider credentials are redacted from voluntary issue reports, and source URLs are sanitized or fingerprinted.
Subscription status: ad-free status, subscription type, expiry information and purchase-related identifiers when those features are used.

3. How we use information

Provide playback, profiles, favorites, history and Continue Watching.
Synchronize supported settings across installations associated with the same anonymous identity.
Operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve reliability and performance.
Measure feature use and develop privacy-conscious content recommendations.
Show, limit and measure advertising, or recognize an ad-free entitlement.
Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent personal information. Information may be processed by:

Google Firebase and Google Cloud: anonymous authentication, Firestore synchronization, analytics event batches, static website hosting and diagnostic report storage.
Your chosen provider: the app connects directly to the servers and URLs you configure. Those providers can observe requests according to their own policies.
External media and platform services: Google Cast resources may load on compatible non-TV clients, and fallback artwork may be requested from Unsplash. These services receive ordinary request information such as IP address and user agent.
Advertising or linked destinations: an ad video host or destination receives ordinary network information when an ad is loaded or a link is opened. The current app uses first-party configured creatives rather than a behavioral advertising SDK.
Authorities or business successors: only when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users and services, or complete a legitimate business transfer.

Voluntary issue reports are sanitized before upload. A report may be stored at a publicly accessible object URL so it can be shared for troubleshooting. Do not submit a report if you do not want the sanitized technical report uploaded.

5. Security

Firebase and Google Cloud connections are protected by authenticated access controls and HTTPS encryption in transit. Provider credentials may be synchronized to Google Cloud automatically; they are not end-to-end encrypted by IPTV Elegant. The Android app also permits provider-supplied HTTP streams and mixed content. Information—including credentials embedded in provider URLs—may therefore travel without transport encryption when you configure an insecure HTTP source. No system is perfectly secure, so prefer HTTPS providers, use unique credentials and remove sources you no longer use.

6. Retention

Local information remains until you clear it, delete a profile, remove a source or uninstall/reset the app.
Continue Watching entries are normally limited to 50 items and expire after seven days of inactivity; watch history is limited to 200 entries.
Queued analytics are limited on-device and are removed after successful delivery. Delivered analytics and support records are retained only as reasonably necessary for product operation, security, analysis and legal obligations.
Cloud profile, settings and source data remain until deleted through available controls or a verified deletion request.

7. Your choices and rights

You can remove playlists and profiles, clear viewing history and Continue Watching, and change app settings from the application. You may also request access to or deletion of cloud data by following the steps on our Data Deletion page.

The current release does not provide controls to disable analytics or cloud synchronization independently. Removing local history does not automatically erase previously delivered analytics or diagnostic reports; request complete deletion when needed.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, or receive a portable copy of certain information. We may need information from the app’s About or support screen to locate the correct anonymous account.

8. International processing

IPTV Elegant and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Applicable safeguards are used where required by law.

9. Children

IPTV Elegant is not directed to children under 13 and should not be used by a child without a parent or guardian. A kid-profile setting only filters and personalizes the interface; it does not make the service a child-directed product or guarantee that a provider’s catalog is suitable for children. Parents remain responsible for provider access and content.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the product or law changes. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated through this page or the app where appropriate.
